Reviews and coordinates changes to Maintenance safety manuals (specifically GMM 1-7) ensuring SMS standards and interfaces are maintained.Facilitates Maintenance Department’s SMS meetings including, but not limited to:.Regularly reporting to and advising the Senior Vice President Maintenance, Maintenance Department directors and applicable managers on the performance of the Maintenance Department’s SMS and on any need for improvement(s).Promoting safety, as required in 14 CFR Part 5 Subpart E Safety Promotion.Assuring the effectiveness of safety risk controls.Hazard identification and safety risk analysis.Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of SMS processes within the department, including but not limited to:.Oversees and monitors SMS processes, including the implementation, maintenance, and integration of the SMS within the Maintenance Department.Integrates department safety activities and priorities with the Maintenance Department and actively interfaces with leaders in other operating departments.Ensures risk mitigation and safety risk controls implemented comply with all applicable regulatory requirements.Facilitates hazard identification, safety risk analysis, and all department safety risk assessment/management (SRA/SRM) activity.Responsible for the management of the Maintenance Department’s SMS, including ongoing development, implementation, continuity, and promotion.
